In this article, we’ll explore safety probes; if you want to learn more, we invite you to keep reading.
Safety Switches
The water level in a steam generator must be constantly monitored to ensure it does not drop below the minimum level set by the designer.
If this happens, the generator could be seriously damaged, potentially causing significant harm to people and property.
For this reason, water level monitoring must be entrusted to safety devices that comply with the European PED Directive and are certified by the appropriate bodies.
In some cases, monitoring the maximum water level is also necessary.
Safety Probes: Our Solutions
- 230: Minimum level limiter with self-diagnosis SIL2/SIL3, compliant with Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) – Certification B+D.
- 231: Maximum level limiter with self-diagnosis SIL2/SIL3, compliant with Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) – Certification B+D.
- 800: Safety probe (for minimum or maximum levels), compliant with Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) – Certification B+D.
We remind you that all the regulator models mentioned above, when combined with the 800 probe, provide safety wherever there is water under pressure and temperature, especially in boilers. These solutions are crucial for limiting maximum or minimum water levels.
